Taste:*** (3 out of 5)
Customer Service: ****(4 out of 5)

My hubby and I are always looking for new places to try out, so we went online and came across this intresting find, a rotating restaurant! I think we mainly wanted to check it out for this unique experience, so we made reservations and were able to finally see what it was all about!

Finding parking was fine, since they had their own reserved parking for customers, so you'd just have to drive through a booth, get a ticket, and if I remember correctly, you can have it validated through the restaurant, but you might have to still pay a small fee at the booth when you get out. Word to the wise, ALWAYS have cash at hand, because some parking booths in Waikiki will NOT take card.

Getting there.. so we parked and made our way up. You can take an elevator up to the restaurant. Once you arrive at the entry, you'll see a beautiful mural painting of Hawaii, followed by the "Top of Waikiki" entrance door, and you'll be taking a small escalator up to the dining area, where the rotating restaurant is located. We went in the evening, to catch the view of Waikiki at night. The view was gorgeous! It actually does spin! Not as fast as I thought though. It was funny, because when we first got there, I was already doubting it, then after we finished our meal, I looked out the window, and we were on the other side coming back around! It was a fun experience. The ambiance there was very chic, and romantic, with the dim lights and candles at each table. As for the food, the presentation was breathtaking, however the portions were a bit small for the price we paid. My main entree was so-so, I think I had some sort of shrimp and noodle dish, I didn't really care for, but our side order of fish and chips was delicious! Although it was in small portions, I think they used fresh cooked fish in this authentic salsa dip, and it was so good! Other than that, the prices were a bit hefty, but affordable. It's definitely a fun place to enjoy if you're celebrating a special event, or just want to take your loved one to a nice, romantic dinner... with a VIEW!
