Just wanted to take some time to wish everyone a "Happy New Year" and share this beautiful piece of literature that had helped me get through some of the hardest times of my life. I hope you enjoy...
"A Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime
People come into your life for a reason, a season, or
a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you
will know what to do for each person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON . . . It is
usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have
come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you
with guidance and support, to aid you physically,
emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a
godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason
you need them to be.
Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an
inconvenient time, this person will say or do something
to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die.
Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realise is that our need has been met, our
desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you
sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.
When people come into your life for a SEASON . . .
Because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount
of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things
you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional
foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the
person, and put what you have learned to use in all
other relationships and areas of your life. It is said
that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant."

With that beautiful piece of literature, I leave you with this thought.. "Cherish those you love and care about TODAY, don't wait, because it may be a little too late.." I have come to this realization as this year proved to be a tragic year, with the loss of so many celebrities like the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and others such as Farrah Fawcett, Brittany Murphy, etc... It was not because they were so famous which left me in awe, but the fact that.. they are.. GONE.
It made me stop and think about all the people I hold close to my heart, and the thought of me losing them... it just breaks my heart to even have that kind of thought in my head. It's a scary thought to try to prepare your heart for something like that, which is something I still cannot bring myself to do.. In the end, I try to think positive, and continue to thank God for having the good people in my life. I try to let them know how important they are to me, with every chance I get..
I just thought I'd share this thought with everyone, because it's so easy to let our busy lives interfere with communicating with our loved ones so far away.. It's nice to stop and take that extra 5 minutes to pick up the phone, remind those you love that they are being thought of.. even if it's just to say "Hello, how have you been?" or "Happy New Year.." :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR all... hope you all have a safe and wonderful day! xoxo
