“My Story In Photos: Holiday Traditions”

Mele Kalikimaka to everyone! My husband and I decided to stroll around downtown Waikiki tonight. School's out for a couple of weeks, and I've been aching to take some photos! We were surprised at how much decor was put up, and it was nice to see a lot of people out and about. It was quite funny actually, because as we were driving downtown I mentioned to my husband that "I was not feeling the holiday spirit.." The events that followed was nothing short of a Christmas miracle. First of all, we sort of got lost, and were trying to find parking! The first opening we got, we could already see the place that we were looking for! The city had put up Hawaiian Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus.. and I really wanted to see it, and take some photos. Well, we were in for a surprise as there was an event going on in one of the nearby government buildings, and there was a bunch of displays of Christmas trees, Wreaths, and Gingerbread Houses! A photographer's dream! ;)

Anyways, not only did we find parking right in front of it, this is my favorite photo of the night:

As soon as I saw the raw photo, even without editing, you can clearly see little bokeh hearts... it really touched my heart and put me in the holiday spirit! :) As soon as I saw this photo, I thanked God for everything he has blessed me with in my life.. and for the first time in a long time, I feel like everything I've been through, all the hardships and pain, has brought me here, to this wonderful moment in time.. and God has given me a sign that I am with a good and wonderful man to share my life with. :)

Happy holidays everyone! I pray that you all enjoy the Christmas season, and take this time to appreciate all the good people in your life. To my family and friends, MELE KALIKIMAKA, we wish you so much love, good health, a safe and wonderful holiday season!

God-bless and well wishes from Hawaii.

With love and prayers,
Pauline

For some reason your picture is not popping up! I am dying to see it so I will have to come over later. Heart Bokeh! Now, you know, that just has to be great!
