I've been meaning to blog about the Makeup Forever products I've received as one of my Christmas gifts from my hubby.. thanks babe! We actually went to Sephora and now I know why they never put the price tags on those things!

OMG, it was so expensive!! I originally wanted to try out the Coastal Scents HD Foundation, since I've been looking for a new foundation to try out.. anyways, I really wanted to try something new RIGHT NOW! So..... we went to Sephora in search of the Makeup Forever HD foundation.. since I am so horrible at it, I always end up picking shades too light.. To make a long story short, I asked one of the Sephora reps. to help me pick out a foundation shade, and you know how that goes ladies.. they do a makeover on you, you (most-of-the-time) love it, and the reps. tell you that you need THIS, THIS, THIS, & THIS..... grrrr!

So what a surprise when we got to the register.. kaching, $150+ TOTAL, and I was like WTH? My hubby was quiet, and I was so guilty, but in bliss.. ;P

Anywho, this is what racked up the bill.. (Only 4 items! In order from L to R, see photo below..)
+ Makeup Forever HD Primer - No. 6 Yellow
+ Makeup Forever Super Matte Loose Powder - No. 12 Translucent Natural
+ Makeup Forever Mat Velvet - No. 35, Vanilla (for medium skin with yellow/ beige undertones)
+ Makeup Forever Full Cover - No. 8 Beige

I would classify my skin tone as a Light/Medium Olive. Like in this photo:

See complete skin tone chart HERE.

So far I am liking all of it, but I will test it out more and share my review on another post. :)

Hope you all are having a great week so far! I've just started a new set of classes this week, and already finished half of my assignments, so thought I'd write a quick post.

Look forward to some reviews coming up.. will do a full review and swatches as soon as I have the energy to do some "FOTD" (Face of the Day) photos to share some looks I've come up with using my new Coastal Scents Creative Me #1 Palette, with the Makeup Forever foundation! Stay tuned... xoxo.

Ohhh, lucky you!!! I can't wait to see your FOTD and review of this stuff. I hear MUFE is WONDERFUL! It's just a little too heavy for my bank right now. "/ Haha.

I just nominated you for the beautiful blogger award. :)

Holy crap! $150 for 4 items. Ai nana... I so wish I had that much to spend for makeup. I shop at walmart. Hahaha. Until I make more hours at work, I can break my wallet.

Make-up Forever = HEAVEN! I love their eyeshadows! One of my co-workers who also works at Sephora invited me to this after hours thing they had (20% off everything and you know none of their stuff is ever on sale) I ended up spending a ton but it was so worth it. My honey thinks I'm crazy with the money I spend on make-up but I can't help it! I haven't tried MUF foundation since I use MACs studio fix. Let me know how it is!

You'll definitely have to let us know how you like it. I love being able to buy "the good stuff" now and then and pamper myself a little. Usually I'm always buying off brand stuff...which is no fun. ;)
