Happy 2 Year Anniversary Love!

My husband and I got to celebrate our 2 year anniversary earlier this week. We didn't get to celebrate it on the day of, because he was working.. so I surprised him with a special Filipino dish "Nilaga" when he got home. I got the recipe from my sister-in-law, who was kind to share it with me (Thanks Ate Laura!).. she said that my hubby's Dad would always make that dish for him when he was young, so thought that would be a nice treat for dinner when he got home from work that night..

Filipino Dish "Nilaga"

We weren't able to really celebrate until Wednesday night. We went to this beautiful, small restaurant called "Sunset Lanai," it's called that because there is a big outside lanai (patio) that has a breath-taking view of Honolulu and the Pearl Harbor area.. it is GORGEOUS at night.. because the lights of the city is so beautiful, and the tiki torches add a nice romantic ambiance..

Well, we went on a Wednesday night, because that's "Mongolian BBQ Night!" Woo! It's very interesting, because the "uncooked" food is laid out on the table, and you get to customize your own dish! It's pretty neat, but it can get tricky! LOL.. put too much spices (salt, pepper, etc..) and you've just ruined your dish! LOL!

Here's the beautiful view of Honolulu/Pearl Harbor at night from the restaurant:

My husband's turned out surprisingly good.. he made some sort of seafood curry stir fry!

Here's mine.. I tried to make a regular stir fry, because I didn't want to get too creative and end up eating something awful! lol..

Hope you all have a lovely Easter!
